What's with my name?

ARLYN

My name is a combination of my mother and father's name, the second letter R of my name comes from my father and his name is Rodolfo. He decided to start my name with letter R, since all of my siblings start with that letter. My mother told my father that she has also the authority to decide what name she would gave me and they argue about it, later on my mother decided that she would like to add LYN in my name since her name is Merlyn, my father doesn't react what mother suggest and later on they connect all the letters it sounds nice for a girl's name, my father added a letter A so that it will beautify the name spelling. According to a baby's name book the name ARLYN means an Oath.

An oath means it is either a promise or a statement of fact calling upon something or someone that the oath maker considers sacred, usually God, as a witness to the binding nature of the promise or the truth of the statement of fact. To swear is to take an oath.

I am so greatful to have such name because it is my mother and father who gave me that unique name.
